Learn to explore the script and discover clues to collaboration and understanding with Lisa Berger. Using Sarah DeLappe’s critically acclaimed play The Wolves as a central text, participants will explore techniques for breaking down a script, uncovering character motivations, thematic elements, and dramatic structure.
Through close reading, discussion, and interactive exercises, we will analyze how DeLappe crafts authentic dialogue, builds tension, and develops complex characters within the unique setting of a high school girls’ soccer team. The seminar will also examine how subtext, rhythm, and staging choices impact performance and interpretation.
